Tony Heath, jazz
musician and visual artist, spent the first 25 years of his adult life
pursuing a career as a musician in New York City.
As a young jazz musician he worked as an associate
broker in the commercial real estate business in Manhattan, while
establishing a professional career playing woodwinds and flute.
After leaving the real estate business in 1987, he
performed evenings as a jazz musician while working days as a graphic
designer at several top advertising agencies, including J. Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather, and Young and Rubicam.
A lifelong love of nature and a commitment to
conservation inspired him to found Birdland Ranch in 1997, where his
enthusiasm for the land extends to his work as a photographer and avid
jazz pianist.

Grandfather Great Spirit,
Fill us with the Light.
Give us the strength to understand,
and the eyes to see.
Teach us to walk the soft
Earth as relatives to all that live.
